Explore the history of Belfast on this wonderful full day tour.

Belfast city is a must do tour on your trip to Ireland. Only 2 hours from Dublin this full day tour is filled with excitement around every corner.  Sit back and enjoy the view while your experienced guide tells you stories of old and interesting tales and enjoy plenty of time to ramble around the city.

We start the trip with a visit to the famous Peace Wall which used to separate the loyalist and republican communities.  Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandela's words of encouragement can still be seen written on the wall today.  Visit the home of the doomed Titanic before she set sail for her one and only voyage.  Take some fantastic photos at the Mourne Mountain range and watch the bus roll uphill on Gravity Hill.

Itinerary:
Visit 1: Belfast City
  • Arrive in Belfast City! 
  • See the famous Peace Wall which still runs through the city, used in times gone by to separate the loyalist and republican communities.
  • Read the many comments of encouragement written on the wall by thousands of visitors including Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandela. 

Visit 2: Free Time to Ramble around Belfast
  • You'll have worked up a hunger by now so your guide will drop you into the city centre for some free time and to grab a bite to eat*.
  • There are lots of things to discover and explore in this vibrant city. Here are some suggestions:
  • The Albert Memorial Clock, Belfast's own leaning clock tower!
  • Visit one of the main landmark buildings in the city - Belfast City Hall.
  • Visit the Grand Opera house and visit St. Anne's cathedral.
  • Visit the busiest and arguably the best bar in Belfast. The Victorian Crown Bar.

Visit 3:  Belfast Guided City Tour
  • Visit the Docklands where the famous RMS Titanic was built

Visit 4:  Downpatrick
  • Visit the resting place of Ireland's most famous saint.
  • Here you will first visit the Saint Patrick exhibition centre which tells the story of the great man, how he arrived in Ireland and how he brought Christianity to Ireland.
  • When you learn all there is to know about the great saint we will take a short walk behind the centre to visit the cathedral and the grave of St Patrick. 

Visit 5:  Norman Castle & Mourne Mountain Range
  • We visit the beautiful seaside village of Dundrum where the ruins of a 12th century Norman Castle still remain.
  • Then onto the Mourne Mountain range where we stop at a spectacular lake stop.
  • Watch the bus roll up the hill by itself at 'Gravity Hill' before we make our way home.
